Goal Digger

For Christmas, my co-worker, Morgan, bought me this adorable coffee mug. Spending 40 hours a week together for the past 2-and-a-half years, we've gotten to be good friends. She's heard me complain about pregnancy woes, attended our wedding, and even met Finn when he was just a few days old. She is definitely one of my core supporters in my life right now, and she is also a really thoughtful gift-giver. (Unlike me who stresses over giving presents so badly and ultimately fail every time!) Anyways, she has probably heard me talk about this blog and taking it to a new level more than my husband. The saying on the mug 'Goal Digger', really motivates me to put myself out there and be vulnerable. I can think about how many snarky comments are made about me taking pictures of myself in outfits and trying to build a blog following or I can take action and do what I've been wanting to do for the past three years. Gosh, if only I had started three years ago...It's intimidating - and yet so damn fulfilling - to finally be going after my goals! (I no longer call this a 'dream' - it's actually happening now!) It's so important that I have supportive people around me. David constantly asks me about what new content is going up, and he is the best photographer ever! He makes me feel like a model, and it's so much fun! My mom and dad are constantly sharing with friends and people they know. My sisters are always telling me to go after what I want. I have wonderful people in my life! What's pretty ironic is that it's in the dull moments of everyday life when you start daydreaming about what life could really look like. It's really crazy to see how far Morgan and I have both come from the time we met. I'm grateful that God placed a friend like her in my life to go through these boring, gray cubicle days with!
