Five Things

  1. Salt Lamp Life. My mom is so cool and hip. When I was home for Christmas, she showed us all her Himalayan Salt lamp and bragged about how much better she slept nowadays. Even my dad started talking it up! I was so excited to find one under the tree for David and me. I have it plugged in in our bedroom, and I gotta say, I've been sleeping so much sounder! These lamps have so many wonderful benefits for your health, your mind, your skin, even your mood. So thanks mom!
  2. Ribbons and blush. I love looking at spring clothing this time of year and think ahead to warmer days. I've been eyeing cute and simple blush tones for those early spring days. I'm sooo over wearing black! This dress is so sweet, and would also be perfect for Valentine's Day. I'm also dying over this one, and this. Is it spring yet?
  3. Omg gooey cookies! David and I did a "No Sweets January" and omg thank goodness it's over. I have been craving some yummy chocolate chip cookies. Totally my go-to snack. I sound dramatic, but in reality, 31 days without sweets was not as hard as I thought. I am down a few pounds, I feel more energetic, and I will probably keep it going. However, I did take a moment to divulge in the most wonderful chocolate chunk cookies last night :) And just in case you need a new recipe, these pumpkin chocolate chip cookies are seriously amazing. And sooo easy to make! They come out perfectly every time I bake them.
  4. First step sneaks. My little Finn man is crawling!! I am seriously in shock and wondering where the time has gone. I have been doing a lot of research on good walking shoes for babies and I re-stumbled upon Freshly Picked moccasins. My mom bought Finn a pair of their classic brown moccasins, but I'm thinking I'm going to scoop up a pair of The Next Step Shoe for my boy who is on the move. I remember watching Freshly Picked on Shark Tank back in the day and thinking "when I have a baby, I'm going to buy allll those shoes!"
  5. Clifford Red Hunter Boots. I've been lusting over Hunter Boots for over a year now. I always leaned toward buying a classic black pair, cause I'm so typical, but lately I've been drooling over the red ones! I love the color they add to an outfit, and in reality, I can make these work since the majority of my jackets are black anyways! Anyways, thinking I might spoil myself as an early birthday present and finally pull the trigger on these bad boys!
